"Miss Y," as owner Karen Yarosh is frequently called by kids, is one of the most thoughtful, sensitive, caring people you'll meet. The Art Studio is a "safe zone" for kids, teens, and adults to express themselves through the visual arts.

This fascinating Art Studio is located on a gorgeous 30-acre farm near Columbia Lake in Columbia, CT. It's close enough to major cities and towns to be convenient, yet far enough to feel like you're "out of the rat race."

A Connecticut native, studio founder Karen J. Yarosh brings to each one-on-one student or class a rich blend of formal education and real-world experience in art therapy, psychology and social work. The result is art instruction that's not only fun, but inspirational and  therapeutic.  Over the years, the studio has demonstrated a unique capacity to serve the needs of three distinct populations:
